Medimiks Medical Biotechnology Systems & Services Ltd. was founded in Istanbul, as a "Molecular Diagnostics" company in 1993. Medimiks services range from molecular diagnostics sales (hardware & consumables) all the way to turn key laboratory projects including full technical support & training. In this capacity, Medimiks, in the last fifteen years, delivered more than ten turn key molecular biology and genetics laboratory projects, and provided consultancy & material support to more than fifty labs in different sizes.
In
2003, Medimiks and a French R&D laboratory, ATL R&D sarl. decided
to merge their companies and formed the two new companies located in Paris
and Istanbul. These companies now work together in the field of biotechnology
and provide advanced technology and complete product mix to IVF and genetics
laboratories. The reputation of their services is based upon the quality
of their know-how; from production through to sales and after sales technical
support. In 2006, Medimiks established R&D and production facility in
GOSB Technopark.
Among the Company's completed projects in 2009 is the TUBITAK-TEYDEB (The
Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey - Technology and
Innovation Funding Programs Directorate) and EUREKA (European Research Coordination
Agency) projects. After the completion of these projects, Medimiks became
the first company to produce the microarray CGH (comparative genomic hybridization)
kits & consumables and FISH probes in Turkey .
The Company's R&D (Research & Development) project which was supported by EUREKA in 2008 is the first project with a Turkish parent company in the field of biological sciences.
The Company's R&D and production laboratory was operating in GOSB (Gebze Industrial Zone) Technopark was established in 2002 as a technology development zone. Medimiks' marketing, sales and administrative units was operating in the Istanbul office located in the district of Nisantasi. In September 2009, the Company relocated all departments under one roof in Istanbul city center.
